And a little annoyed, if she’s being honest.
Kanye West‘s unconventional third-party presidential campaign continues to confound. The rapper who is running under the Birthday Party banner in an apparent attempt to unseat his former friend and MAGA mate Pres. Trump, posted a campaign poster on Wednesday (Aug. 19) featuring a collage of images including fashion icon and Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour and actress Kirsten Dunst.
Only nobody told the On Becoming a God in Central Florida star that she was part of West’s narrative, and she seemed, well, a bit annoyed. “What’s the message here, and why am I part of it?” Dunst tweeted at ‘Ye on Thursday morning (Aug. 20) along with a shrugging emoji. Dunst is, indeed, literally front-and-center on the seemingly home-brewed poster, which features a throwback 2002 picture of the actress smiling broadly from an old Vanity Fair profile, framed by West’s Kanye 2020Vision slogan.
West 11th hour bid has faced major obstacles, including a seeming lack of staff to help get the rapper on the ballot in the majority of states, with bids to make it reportedly succeeding in Vermont, Utah, Arkansas, Colorado and Oklahoma, while failing in New Jersey and his home state of Illinois and petitions pending in six other crucial states. As noted by People, at press time West could only win 31 electoral college votes in the five states he’s qualified to appear on the ballot in, well short of the 270 needed to win the election.
A spokesperson for West could not be reached for comment at press time.
