The Masked Singer returned for its highly anticipated fourth season on Wednesday night (Sept. 23), featuring a bunch of fun new costumes including Sun, Giraffe, Popcorn, Dragon and the show’s first duo, the Snow Owls.
“Finally, we have something fun involving masks,” host Nick Cannon joked, referring to the inherently COVID-friendly nature of the show.
The aforementioned group took the stage during the premiere. Like the previous season, the contestants are divided into three different groups, and the top three singers from each group will compete for the Golden Mask trophy.
Season four also has a new trophy for the judges. Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger and Robin Thicke will take a guess for each singer after seeing their first performance, and whoever guesses correctly the most times wins a Golden Ear trophy.
Dragon ended up getting eliminated, based on votes from the virtual audience and judges. While Jeong guessed Michael Phelps and McCarthy thought DMX, Scherzinger and Thicke both correctly guessed Busta Rhymes.
Busta’s clues included gold coins and trophies and the Statue of Liberty. Watch some of his performance and the moment he was revealed below.
