This week, Taylor Swift’s Folklore ruled the Billboard 200 for a fifth straight time, tying Lil Baby’s My Turn for most weeks atop the tally this year. It was also the first album to top the chart five times in a row since Drake’s Scorpion in 2018.

On the Hot 100, the album’s lead single “Cardigan” also scored a No. 1 placement the week of Folklore‘s debut, making Swift the first artist ever to debut atop the Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 in the same week and only the eighth to make multiple No. 1 entrances on the singles chart (Swift’s “Shake It Off” also debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 in 2014).
