Tiwa Savage is ready for her closeup.
The Nigerian singer is already a star in her homeland, and she’s generating a lot of international buzz ahead of the release of her new album Celia.
Savage made her U.S. TV debut when she stopped by The Tonight Show on Monday night (Aug. 24) for a performance of “Dangerous Love.”
There was no danger, but a lot of love and natural beauty as Savage and her band created a groove with a desert vibe.
Earlier this week (Aug. 24), Savage unveiled her new single “Temptation,” featuring British pop star Sam Smith.
The artist recently chatted with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe about how afrobeats has helped introduce African culture to a wider, mainstream audience. “It’s a blessing to live and witness both, to see how it went from not being cool, to being one of the most sought after genres,” she said.
Celia is out this Friday (Aug. 28).
