As summer continues heating up, boy band die-hards are waiting for their favorites to quench their thirst for new music. So which boy band would do the trick for you?
As BTS prepares to drop its new English single “Dynamite” on Friday, Aug. 21, Big Hit Entertainment announced the song precedes the South Korean septet’s new album, which is coming out by the end of the year around the same time Tomorrow x Together will also deliver a new album.
Speaking of albums, the Jonas Brothers stoked some rumors about their upcoming one in May, right when the trio dropped “X,” featuring Karol G, and “5 More Minutes.” Considering their announcement of the double pack of singles spelled out “XV,” or 15 in Roman numerals, and the JoBros have been in the music business for the last 15 years, fans thought they finally had the key pieces to the puzzle.
“We definitely have a good amount of songs ready to go. And I think we didn’t realize all the parallels with just having ‘X’ and ‘V’ as this title because now people are thinking there’s more to it,” Joe Jonas explained during a SiriusXM interview. “But right now, we just got two songs to deliver to everyone, and hopefully they enjoy those. And we definitely want to release more. So we’ll see how everything goes in the next few weeks, few months, and hopefully, we can be putting some more songs in your hands.”
Brockhampton intentionally had a double whammy of promises lined up for 2020, when frontman Kevin Abstract announced they would release two albums this year after premiering the non-album singles “N.S.T.” and “things can’t stay the same” on a secret, password-protected live stream titled “Technical Difficulties Radio.”
